Pursue Good Hygiene
The best way to prevent breakouts is by pursuing excellent hygiene. That means a shower at least once per day, and washing your face at least twice per day. Using an acne preventing face wash that contains salicylic acid twice each day morning and night will keep your skin's oil levels under control and keep your pores clear of dirt and other obstructions that lead to acne pustules.
For acne sufferers who wash their face twice a day and find their skin becoming rough, a non-oil moisturizer can be applied in order to reduce pain and roughness while promoting good skin clarity. Remember that oil is the number one enemy of clear skin, however, so stay clear of any greasy or oily topical products for your face.
Wear Appropriate Clothing
For those with back acne, it's important to wear wellventilated clothing designed specifically for athletic events when engaging in any athletic or weightlifting activity. Traditional cottonblend t-shirts will only trap sweat, oils, and dirt on the surface the skin and exacerbate any skin problems that already exist. Light, airy clothing will ensure sweat can dry and clothes will not stick to the skin's surface and promote further breakouts.
